Join us for the first Coffee with Chuck of the school year, hosted by the River View Superintendent Chuck Rinkes! It will be held at Coshocton Coffee Connection on Thursday, August 27th at 9:00 a.m.

Great things were happening at RVES today. We were one of the Community Impact Projects that NewPointe Church completed. There were so many volunteers and lots of work was completed. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers. It was great seeing all of you. One of the best parts was seeing so many of our students there serving and giving back to their commmunity. The front of the school looks great and the playground is ready for our students! Thank you to all volunteers and those who coordinated this project!

Also, don't forget that every student will received a backpack with some supplies from the Fill the Backpack Initiative through Coshocton Regional Medical Center! (image with information is also attached here).

Every student in the Elementary will receive a free backpack filled with supplies. Here is a flyer that will inform you of what will be in those bookbags. Thank you Coshocton Regional Hospital for sponsoring "The Fill the Backpack Coshocton!"

Dear River View Families,
We’re excited to share that Healthy Kids Programs is partnering with River View Local Schools to provide before and after-school care for the 2026–2027 school year—and enrollment is now open! (This program is not run directly by River View Local Schools, but rather the third-party organization Healthy Kids.) The program is located at River View Elementary.
Programs are available for Kindergarten through 12-year-olds.

The programs are designed with flexibility in mind to meet the needs of busy families:
Before School Care
Available from 7:00 AM until the start of the school day
After School Care
Available from school dismissal until 6:00 PM
Both programs offer full-time and part-time monthly tuition options, so you can choose the schedule that works best for your family.

Additional Care Options at River View -
Schools Out Program: Full-day or half-day care on scheduled no-school days (professional development days, breaks, etc.)
Drop-In Care: Perfect for families needing flexible, occasional care—with same-day reservations available
Schools Out and Drop-In Care do not require monthly tuition. Instead, care is paid at the time of reservation. Please note that prior enrollment is required for participation in these programs.

We have several paraprofessional positions available at RVES. Please contact us if interested.

RVES will be hosting our annual talent show again this year! Acts are done by class. Preschool and kindergarten acts will begin at 1:30 p.m. There will be a short 10 minute intermission afterward, followed by the 1st and 2nd grade acts around 2:10 p.m. If you are arriving for 1st & 2nd grade, please be at the elementary and in your seats by 2:10 p.m. Seating is limited. If parents and/or guardians are planning on taking their children with them, they can only be signed out during the intermission or after the final act of the day. If you are planning to take a student home that is not your own, they MUST bring in a written note signed by their parents/guardians by the morning of May 15th. We will not make phone calls on the day to allow students to go home with others.

Track & field days are next week! Kindergarten through 2nd grade is on Monday, May 11th and preschool is on Tuesday, May 12th!
